POSTDOCTORAL POSITION AVAILABLE (Cell Biology)
We are seeking highly qualified candidates to be involved in studies aimed at elaborating the role of the DNA replication program and it’s reprogramming in the generation of iPS cells. These studies include: (1) examination of reprogramming and regulation of DNA replication in human and mouse embryonic stem (ES) cells and how the replication program changes when ES cells differentiate along various developmental pathways; (2) reprogramming of DNA replication by modification of chromatin structure; (3) telomere replication program of human iPS cells compared to sequential hiPSC-derived developmental stages of neural stem cells and other somatic cells.
These studies are being carried out in the Einstein Center for Human Embryonic Stem Cell Research. We are located in a pleasant, quiet residential area in the northeast corner of New York City with easy access to Manhattan and the suburbs of Westchester County and Connecticut. Affordable University housing is available close to the campus.
Applicants who are highly motivated with a strong background in molecular, stem cell, and/or cancer biology or biochemistry, are encouraged to apply.
